I was very fortunate to spend some time on Hawaii this summer and visit Oahu with my family. From Waikiki to North Shore, from the big city Honolulu urban atmosphere to the Laie mountain sites, fantastic beaches and amazing nature. Pure paradise. Excellent place to stay on the North Shore is the Turtle Bay Resort located in Kahuku. Offers beautiful grounds and scenery.
Food that we love to experience and try was local and delicious. Favorite breakfast spots were Hukilau Cafe and Haleiwa Cafe. Hukilau Cafe prepares excellent coconut pancakes and Haleiwa cafe offers perfect sweet bread toast with fresh blueberries. Lunch time on the North Shore is all about food trucks and Opal’s Thai won the first prize. Food that Opal is preparing – amazing. For mid day snack the must stop spot is The Virgil’s Farm stand for some fresh local fruit, ice cold coconut and fried bananas. If you would really love to try shave ice Matsumoto Grocery store is the spot. With scoop of vanilla ice cream, beans and condensed milk it is a real summer treat.
If you find yourself in the Honolulu and need kids friendly place to eat Puka dog is a good choice. Variety of toppings and sauces all very tropical and different with the nice result and scrumptious hot dog.
Well here are the photos of beautiful view’s that we will all cherish and I would love to share them with you. Can’t wait to go back:)

As we all know summer is here, but this year here in LA we are totally wrapped in marine layer for weeks, so we decided to take some time off and get a little splash and hot weather in our lives. Just a two hour trip (by car) from Los Angeles to Rancho Mirage was a pleasant ride. If somebody prefers shopping, quick stop to Cabazon and Premium Outlet stores is a fun place to be with close to 200 stores from Gap to Dior, Prada, Gucci and many more.
Rancho Mirage is a resort city located just a few miles from Palm Springs CA.
Rancho Las Palmas is classic Rancho Mirage re-imagined for the 21st century traveler, especially those with families. With Splashtopia incredible two-acre water feature with its own lazy river, slides, pools and beach, Rancho Las Palmas is a fun place. Its bustling, central outdoor plaza connects guests to a world of activity: fine and casual dining, live entertainment and the 20,000-square-foot Spa Las Palmas is ultimate desert location. It features: 27 holes of classic desert golf, a 25-court tennis center, and four pools. The style of this carefree Palm Springs California hotel is easy and sophisticated and its location enviable – at the foot of majestic Mount Jacinto and directly across the street from The River, a dynamic entertainment, dining and retail area. If you are looking for friendly kids dining popular places are: Beach Pool Shack, Ruby’S Diner, Mimis Cafe, P.F. Chang’s China Bistro and Cheesecake Factory.
Spring break is here….
This year we decided to take the kids to Las Vegas for a few days. Pool time, attractions and family fun, still close to home, without air travel, long lines and rent-a car.
Trip was very successful and I think everybody had a great time:)
So these are few ideas what you can do with kids in Las Vegas:
- Hoover Dam
named one of the Top 10 Construction Achievements of the 20th Century, Hoover Dam continues to draw crowds more than 70 years after its creation.
- Colorado River Bridge
- MGM Grand Pool
fun place to be. Tropical oasis, sunbathers paradise. Whatever you call it, the Grand Pool Complex is the most elegant swimming and sunbathing experience in the world. You have your choice from 5 shimmering swimming pools and three relaxing whirlpools. Also there is a lazy river, perfect for kids.
- Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens
Admire the essence of every season recreated with exceptionally gorgeous plants, flowers and trees thoughtfully arranged to inspire full splendor.
- Shark Reef Aquarium
here you will come face-to-face with some of the earth’s most fascinating creatures in North America’s only predator-based aquarium and exhibit. See sharks of all kinds, along with sawfish, giant rays, endangered green sea turtles, piranha, moon jellies and the rare golden crocodiles. In all, there are over 2,000 animals in 1.6 million gallons of seawater.
- Food time
so many choices….some healthy but mostly not….The Buffet in Bellagio Hotel and Le Village Buffet in Paris Hotel are good choices for lunch or dinner ( high price, some without discount price for small children) but you can’t beat $6.99 breakfast Buffet in The Orleans Hotel. There are also convenient located ABC stores which offer basic supplies that everybody needs, M&M store (little kids magnet store) and so much more….
New York, fabulous city, crazy traffic-ground level and under ground too.People remind me of ants, they just appear from everywhere and rush is unbelievable. But that is not the reason why not to take your kids to this great city and experience the whole adventure. There are so many things to see or to do with your kids in New York City.
You can visit museums, take a stroll through the streets and brick wall buildings, see the Rockefeller center or Time Square.Take a Ferry ride to the Staten Island and see the beautiful Statue of Liberty,or just hang out and enjoy ice-cream in Central Park. For a longer walk take a hike across the Brooklyn Bridge and catch the subway ride on the way back to the city. What a great experience!
If you are visiting Seattle and famous Pike Place Fish market don’t be surprised when you see side wall of the market and Theater building that is actually wall of gum.Tradition started 1993 when visitors and locals decided to post their interesting and creative ideas before sticking their gum to the wall.
This is very tricky,in some sort of way it is art,but still it is just a gum. You decide.
